New Moon in Aquarius 9/2/24
Tonight is the new moon in Aquarius. It’s also a supermoon kickstarting the first of the super moons for 2024. Sitting at 20º Aquarius and square Uranus it brings an eclectic feel to this new beginning. You just have to love Uranus for that!
Blessed Imbolc
Today is the traditional day that we celebrate Imbolc - sparking hope and promise of the spring days to come. An awakening from the slumber of winter as new shoots of hope start to push through the soil. Imbolc represents the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Astrologically Imbolc falls on the 4th this year though when the sun reaches Aquarius at 15º. So we celebrate both.

Well crikey that was intense - is everyone ok?!
What a full moon that was to blast off the year. The moon rose in fiery Leo burning off some old karmic toxic waste and invited huge dramatic change to power us into 2024. Sitting at 5º Leo with the sun at 5º Aquarius (check your chart for these placements - (astro.com or my orangemooncat website has a free chart calculator) to see how powerfully affective this was for you) - it highlighted the need to find a balance between the projection of self (Leo) and the interaction you have with others (Aquarius).
Aquarius Season Jan20-Feb18/24
This morning was greeted with a golden sky of hope as the sun moved into the humanitarian and visionary sign of Aquarius. They are the rule breakers and bringers of change, living authentically in their truth (be it somewhat unorthodox!) and creating a world that is more aligned with service to others rather than self.

A very special moon for me as 4 years ago my beautiful Orange Moon Cat George turned up on my doorstep and created a whirlwind of change. Life was never the same again! I’m feeling the same kind of energy going with this moon.

We have had a lot of time to reflect and make waves in our world to create positive forward movement by standing still for a while and contemplating the greater meaning of what we are here for.
Moon meets Black Moon Lilith 12/10/23
Personally I like Lilith's energy but today she is dark and brooding and stirring up some deep trouble, externally and within. Watch out for powerful female energy at play. Manipulative people may be the name of the game.

So Mercury - planet of communication - gets a bad wrap for this with a terrible reputation for literally screwing things up! Tonight we see a beautiful full supermoon in Aquarius rising in the sky (if no clouds!) - a culmination of the last few moths and a window that puts us in between two very powerful full supermoons.
