Gemini is a mutable air sign - it rules our third house of communication and governs how we interact with and connect with others. Ruled by quick moving (and thinking) Mercury it is an intellectual sign taking us out of the box!. It carries thoughts on the wind and snatches ideas from the ether. Apologies for my lateness - it’s been a busy month! The last eclipse knocked me with flu (it happened direct on my Chiron - talk about a purge) followed by an influx of work (Mars steaming through my 10th - which I will not complain about!). What a rollercoaster!

New Moon Total Solar Eclipse in Aries 8/4/24
What an interesting astrological line up this is. The sun and moon meet in Aries creating the total eclipse over the USA later today. But also when the sun and moon meet it is a time of new moon - so new starts and beginnings which is emphasised even more by being in Aries which is the first astrological sign of the zodiac. Eclipses are like a reset. There’s a lot of planets in the mix with this one so it’s not your average new moon.

Well it’s a typical wet day here in Ely as it’s pouring down adding to the watery energy of this rather fishy moon! In fact the Pisces house is a little packed with lots of planets adding to the party… Saturn is still in Pisces completing its journey and Neptune (ruler of Pisces) add its dreamy energy into the mix. Today the sun moves into the watery sign of Pisces, ruled by Neptune and the natural ruler of our twelfth house - that of the hidden, the unknown and the nebulous. New Moon in Aquarius 9/2/24
Tonight is the new moon in Aquarius. It’s also a supermoon kickstarting the first of the super moons for 2024. Sitting at 20º Aquarius and square Uranus it brings an eclectic feel to this new beginning. You just have to love Uranus for that!
Blessed Imbolc
Today is the traditional day that we celebrate Imbolc - sparking hope and promise of the spring days to come. An awakening from the slumber of winter as new shoots of hope start to push through the soil. Imbolc represents the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Astrologically Imbolc falls on the 4th this year though when the sun reaches Aquarius at 15º. So we celebrate both.

Well crikey that was intense - is everyone ok?!
What a full moon that was to blast off the year. The moon rose in fiery Leo burning off some old karmic toxic waste and invited huge dramatic change to power us into 2024. Sitting at 5º Leo with the sun at 5º Aquarius (check your chart for these placements - (astro.com or my orangemooncat website has a free chart calculator) to see how powerfully affective this was for you) - it highlighted the need to find a balance between the projection of self (Leo) and the interaction you have with others (Aquarius).

This morning was greeted with a golden sky of hope as the sun moved into the humanitarian and visionary sign of Aquarius. They are the rule breakers and bringers of change, living authentically in their truth (be it somewhat unorthodox!) and creating a world that is more aligned with service to others rather than self.
