The ruler of the moon is Mars - he sits in domicile in his own water temple of Scorpio. Discovering what lies under the surface of previous conflict is key.

Today the moon reaches culmination at 18º in the sign of the Stoic Sea goat. Capricorn is the epitomy of stability ruled by the keeper of time - Saturn. With the body of a goat and the tail of a fish he dips his tail in the emotional waters, whilst climbing upwards with strength, resilience and sure footedness as he navigates the rocky mountain. This full moon reminds us that in order to progress we need to reach back down inside first and discover the driving force that pushes us onwards and upwards.

Full Moon Eclipse in Virgo 14/4/25
How is everyone - did we survive the eclipse? I awoke early this morning and managed to catch a glimpse of the moon setting on the horizon that had a lovely orange tinge to it. Maybe not quite the potent red that many were expecting but definitely in shadow.

As we near the end of Aquarius season we hit the full moon in Leo at 24º. Air meets fire in opposition. A desire to be seen on a personal level with the desire to be part of the collective whole. This is a tug of war where we fight from the heart to retain our individuality and stand in our truth whilst showing up to be the best version of ourselves.
Full Supermoon In Cancer 13/1/25
The first full supermoon of 2025 sits in the watery sign of cancer - the moons own feminine temple. Next to her is Mars in retrograde as she welcomes him also into her home. Mars has made us look back at what it is we need to feel supported and loved. Mars and the Moon here together are holding our hands to guide us through. This is a strong and powerful moon that is full of drive and will and focus. Mars helps give the energy of action whilst the Moon explores and gives reason to take it. In a sextile to Uranus an electric spark is fired opening portals and possibilities. Uranus wishes for us to be free.

Happy full supermoon in Taurus! This moon packs a punch as the last supermoon of the year. A big spotlight is being shone on the areas of our life that need to change. Finding out what what needs to go, what no longer works and gives us an opportunity to use obstacles as stepping stones to reach a higher goal. Uranus is the instigator here being conjunct the moon by a degree. Uranus is the great awakener. It is an erratic planet that doesn’t play by the rules. It even spins sideways in rebellion announcing its uniqueness and standing out from the crowd.

Unveiling the Shadow
Today the moon reaches completion in the watery sign of Pisces at 25º 40’ in conjunction with its ruling sign Neptune at 28º 35’ Pisces opposite the sun in Virgo. This is the harvest moon of September - a special moon for me marking the arrival of my orange moon cat George who came knocking at my door and filled a void in my heart! (Happy gotcha day George).
Full (Blue) Moon in Aquarius 19/8/24
And here it is - probably the biggest and most important full super blue moon of this year. Sitting in futuristic and humanitarian Aquarius at 27º 15’ ruled by changeable and erratic Uranus. Change is the theme and change has been an ongoing experience of the past few years. Opening up the realms of what is possible we see things coming to fruition that only recent past were figments of imagination. Uranus knows no bounds. We are asked to expand our minds and think beyond the impossible for nothing is impossible - it is just question of mindset.

Don’t worry if you feel a little on edge today - this is a deep clearing that started with the eclipses and culminates in this powerful lumination. All that we have suppressed has risen. We have been asked to look at our power and be in authenticity. Standing up for ourselves and creating boundaries. Discovering who we are and what has been holding us back. Discarding criticisms from others and comparisons that have created self doubt and stopped us from expressing ourselves with truth.

Opposite the sun in dreamy and emotional Pisces we see a blending of equal and opposite energies in which we look at creating structure in order to fulfil our dreams. For we can but dream… however dreaming alone gets us nowhere - the key is to take our dreams and make measured steps to make them a reality. For who wants to live solely in a dream world. It’s time to get real.

Well crikey that was intense - is everyone ok?!
What a full moon that was to blast off the year. The moon rose in fiery Leo burning off some old karmic toxic waste and invited huge dramatic change to power us into 2024. Sitting at 5º Leo with the sun at 5º Aquarius (check your chart for these placements - (astro.com or my orangemooncat website has a free chart calculator) to see how powerfully affective this was for you) - it highlighted the need to find a balance between the projection of self (Leo) and the interaction you have with others (Aquarius).
