Full Moon in Capricorn 10/7/25

Today the moon reaches culmination at 18º in the sign of the Stoic Sea goat. Capricorn is the epitomy of stability  ruled by the keeper of time - Saturn. With the body of a goat and the tail of a fish he dips his tail in the emotional waters, whilst climbing upwards with strength, resilience and sure footedness as he navigates the rocky mountain. This full moon reminds us that in order to progress we need to reach back down inside first and discover the driving force that pushes us onwards and upwards.

If we look back to the December of 2024 and the new moon of the 30th (in Capricorn) we can start to understand the seeds that were planted back then. What you were planning? It was almost New Years Eve and new hopes and dreams were formulating, ideas were being birthed and hope was in the air for change. So now we go over that old ground and double check we are on track to that which we longed for. The goat is ambitious, he wished to climb, but needed the emotional motivation to do so. 

Productivity and future planning are the key to this moon. This is about moving forward on a steady path and meticulously working towards goals. Saturn rewards hard work. He is about to station direct and start his retrograde back through the early degree of Aries that he touched and back into Pisces where we look once again at the waters of dreams and rediscover and revisit that which we started working on over the last few months. 

The Sabian Symbol for this moon is  “A child of about five with a huge shopping bag” (Capricorn 19). This talks about tackling things one step at a time. Sure and steady wins the race - it’s a marathon not a sprint! When we burden ourselves with too much and feel rushed we can go into overwhelm and actually achieve very little. What we need to do is take the discipline of Saturn’s influence and slow it down a tad. It’s ok to have great expectations and want to fulfil everyones needs but we must fulfil our own first and keep on track with personal expectation. WE must be comitted to creating our own personal heaven on earth.

Saturn as the chart ruler is in sextile to the newly moved Uranus in Gemini. Uranus is exciting and ideas driven in the airy and intellectually curious sign of Gemini giving opportunity for breakthroughs and new ideas to move concepts to reality. Aha moments and dinging bells are a ringing! Pluto  (who is still retrograding through Aquarius) is also forming a sextile to dreamy Neptune encouraging us to dig deep beneath the surface and find that extra oooomph that lies inside. Opportunity is given to find deeper meaning and again opportunities will present themselves to improve even further. Pluto also trines Venus who is also occupying the house of Gemini - remember they are the twins and even people here may present as helping hands and inspirational motivators as and when needed. Venus loves to love. 

When we commit to our personal truth we step up. Tangible ideas become reality. Seeds grow roots and start to form solid foundations to build upon. From there we grow shoots and then the next stage begins. 

Look for any planets you have around 18º in Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, Libra, Taurus and Virgo. These will affect you the most. Personally my Mercury is in 18º Capricorn so I’m getting this full whack. :)

change is a’comin’

embrace it - use it - utilise it - push it. Be your own authority, take your power back and make sure you are not spreading yourself too thin by pandering to others needs. This is a reality checkpoint. Take stock and take heed!
