Six of Cups (Sun in Scorpio)

TAROT AND ASTROLOGY - SIX of CUPS

Today’s card was a daily personal card pull. My notes on this at the end.

Six of Cups - Sun in Scorpio

Numerology - 6. The number of the heart - healing, nurturing and finding harmony. I pulled a six yesterday (see six of swords) so I see a theme of self-care and nurturing with the sixes.

The sun as ego and how we shine - cups are water so we see an emotional depth in this card. Scorpio takes us underwater and gets to the depth of matters. Scorpio shines a light on the darkness and highlights that we need a balance of both in our life (balance again being a 6) to maintain equilibrium. By discovering our inner light we allow ourselves to project that and shine it out for others to see (SUN). Scorpio is the domain of Pluto and Mars - both being its rulership) Pluto is transformation and digging deep and Mars is taking powerful action.

The water of the cup is our bodily vessel. Our emotional body. By understanding and being at ease with our emotion (containing it perhaps in the vessel rather than letting it overspill) we are able to reach a state of inner happiness that radiates from within. By making a commitment to ourselves we are able to reach our desires and fulfil them. Scorpio takes us on a deep journey where we find healing and are able to awaken our inner child - we understand our emotions, heal our trauma and overcome our wounds. This card is often associated with children and play and there is lightness to it that we often would not associate with Scorpio - however we could say that it shines a light on the past and brings it forward to be healed hence its association with nostalgia. I feel also it brings hope for sunnier days, happier moments and time out for a bit of childlike play. It’s also an unburdening - setting ourselves free and being able to enjoy life again after a period of darkness. The Sun at the end of the day wishes for you always to shine!

PERSONAL NOTES
Self care day for me - acupuncture is my go to self therapy. I quite like the Mars association through Scorpio with needles (as Mars rules sharp objects). It’s also about personally filling my cup as life has been hectic and it’s time out to just be. Also it’s good to talk through life with another and discover the emotional depth that affects our physical body. By understanding our emotions we can maybe understand any illness or unease that we feel in our physical body and find ways to heal or manage that. The dove over the cups speaks inner peace to me and a laying to rest of memories in Ann Stokers exquisite artwork.
